Your Own Worse Enemy

Have you ever wondered who we talk to when we talk to ourselves? Or sometimes you know you shouldn't do something and you hear a "little voice" in your head telling you to do it anyway. What's up with that? Why would I be arguing with myself about what I should or shouldn't be doing?
The fact is most of us have a lifetime of bad habits. And I don't mean just like smoking cigarettes or popping your knuckles. Most of us have been thinking and acting the same way so long that when a new situation comes up, if we haven't prepared ourselves for it, we tend to talk ourselves out of dealing with it. Like I'll tell myself "You need to work out man", but my body is so used to not working out, it literaly sends messeges to my brain saying "You don't have time for this, do it tomorrow", and if my mind isn't made up and firm I just won't go. Then the same thing happens the next day, and the next, and the next...
My pops used to tell me all the time that I didn't have to be the fastest runner in the race, I just had to be the one willing to keep running when every body else gave up and stopped, and now that I'm grown I see examples of this truth all the time. I'm telling you you can do whatever you want in this world and no one on earth can stop you but YOU. You just have to be willing to set your mind on it and stick to your goals no matter who says you can't do it. Even if that someone is the person in your mirror.
